Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 19, 2026 · Last Updated: October 19, 2026

1. Introduction

CustomPetArts (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you visit www.custompetarts.com, upload pet photographs, create artwork, purchase products, or communicate with us.

This policy applies to our website, custom pet-art services, digital products, physical merchandise, and related customer support.

Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. Where consent is legally required, we will request it separately.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use our Services.

A. Information You Provide

This may include:

  • Contact information: Your name, email address, and phone number if provided.
  • Order information: Products selected, customization preferences, order identifiers, and purchase history.
  • Pet photographs: Images you upload to create personalized artwork.
  • Artwork and project information: AI-generated previews, selected designs, final artwork, revision requests, and related project files.
  • Shipping information: Recipient name, delivery address, and other details required to fulfill physical orders.
  • Communications: Messages, support requests, feedback, and information you choose to provide.

Please do not upload sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for your order.

B. Payment Information

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Depending on the provider and integration, we may receive payment status, transaction identifiers, billing details, and limited payment-method information. Full card numbers and security codes should be handled by the payment provider rather than stored in our application.

The payment provider’s own privacy policy also applies to its processing of your payment information.

C. Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we or our service providers may collect technical information such as:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Browser, device, and operating system information.
  • Pages visited, interactions, and referral information.
  • Timestamps, diagnostic logs, and security events.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies, where used.

The precise categories collected depend on our hosting, analytics, security, and cookie configurations.

3. How We Use Your Information

We may use information for the following purposes:

  • Create your artwork: Process pet photographs, apply selected styles and environments, generate previews, and prepare final artwork.
  • Manage your project: Associate your email address with your project, retain selected designs, and enable you to continue an order.
  • Review quality: Have authorized personnel review generated images and identify issues before final delivery or manufacturing.
  • Fulfill purchases: Process payments, prepare files, manufacture products, arrange shipping, and provide order updates.
  • Communicate with you: Send requested previews, order confirmations, delivery updates, and customer support messages.
  • Maintain the Services: Troubleshoot errors, improve reliability, detect fraud, protect accounts, and maintain website security.
  • Meet legal obligations: Maintain appropriate transaction records, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
  • Marketing: Send promotional messages where permitted by law and subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.

We will not use your identifiable pet photographs or personalized artwork for public promotional purposes unless you separately authorize that use.

4. How AI Processing Works

Our Services use AI systems to interpret pet photographs and generate artistic outputs.

When you upload a photograph, the image and relevant instructions may be transmitted to an AI service provider to perform the requested generation or analysis. Generated images may then be stored or made available to authorized reviewers so we can assess quality and prepare your order.

AI processing may involve service providers operating in different locations, including outside your state or country.

We will use AI providers according to our actual technical configuration and applicable contractual terms. Each provider may have its own data retention and processing practices.

Important: We do not promise that every third-party AI provider immediately deletes submitted data or that no provider retains technical logs. We will provide further details about relevant providers and their applicable data practices where appropriate.

We do not sell your pet photographs as a standalone product or authorize their public use for advertising without your permission.

5. How We Share Information

We may disclose relevant information to the following categories of recipients when necessary:

A. AI and Image-Processing Providers

To analyze uploaded photographs, generate artwork, or process image files.

B. Hosting and Storage Providers

To operate the website, store project files, manage customer galleries, and maintain backups.

C. Payment Providers

To process payments, detect fraud, issue refunds, and manage transactions.

D. Email and Communication Providers

To send previews, order confirmations, login or access links where applicable, and customer support messages.

E. Human Reviewers and Contractors

Authorized personnel or contractors may access photographs and generated artwork when necessary to perform quality checks, revisions, or customer support.

F. Manufacturing and Fulfillment Providers

For physical orders, relevant artwork files, product specifications, recipient information, and shipping details may be shared with Printify and the applicable production or shipping partners.

G. Legal and Security Recipients

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful legal process, protect our rights, investigate fraud, or address security risks.

We do not authorize service providers to use your information for unrelated purposes beyond what is permitted by our arrangements with them and applicable law.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. If our use of advertising or analytics technologies constitutes “selling” or “sharing” under an applicable privacy law, we will provide the required notices and choices.

6. Pet Photographs and Artwork Privacy

Your pet photographs and generated artwork are important parts of your personalized project.

We use them to provide the Services, maintain your project, conduct authorized quality review, and fulfill your order.

We will not publicly display your submitted photographs, generated artwork, or finished product as a customer example without your separate permission.

Access to project files should be limited to personnel and service providers who need the information to perform their assigned tasks.

Please note that a pet photograph can also contain identifiable people, home interiors, location clues, or other personal information. Consider cropping or excluding information that is not needed to create your artwork.

7. Storage, Customer Galleries, and Retention

We may associate your project with your email address so that you can return to your previews, selected design, or order without necessarily creating a conventional user account.

The information retained may include uploaded photographs, generated previews, selected artwork, order details, and associated identifiers.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, support your order, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Our actual retention periods: 30 days.

Where technically and legally feasible, you may request deletion of eligible project files by contacting us. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Deletion from our active systems may not immediately remove copies in backups or records maintained independently by third-party providers. We will handle eligible deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and our service providers’ capabilities.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Maintain website functionality.
  • Remember preferences or session information.

  • Support analytics or advertising, if enabled.

Where required, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

You may be able to manage cookies through your browser or our cookie-preference controls, if provided. Disabling certain technologies may affect website functionality.

Our use of third-party analytics or advertising services will depend on the tools enabled on our website.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

These measures may include access controls, secure transmission, authentication, restricted access to project files, and appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers.

No website, storage system, or electronic transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a security incident occurs, we will respond and provide notifications as required by applicable law.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.

These may include rights concerning access, deletion, correction, and certain disclosures or uses of personal information. The applicability of particular obligations depends on the law and our circumstances. See the California Attorney General’s guidance for further information.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through a service directed to them.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances requiring parental consent and that consent was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information to us may contact hello@custompetarts.com.

12. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

Where personal information is transferred across borders, we will take steps required by applicable law to protect it.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party services for payment, AI processing, hosting, or fulfillment.

Those third parties may collect or process information under their own policies. We encourage you to review their privacy notices where relevant.

This Privacy Policy does not govern independent services that we do not control.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
